Story Behind the Fur

It was hard for me to find a connection to a topic that I would be interested in. Once I have found how people use animals for fur and kill them brutelly I instintly connected to this topic and wanted more people to be aware. I have had many pets such as a dog (which I still have now) fish and a hamster and it was shocking to me how innocent animals get abused and harmed for fur.
I wanted everyone to be aware but I was wondering how this will affect my target audience. If they don't own pets, would they connect to the topic? Lots of people in the grade use products that use animal fur and skins, and I'm sure a lot of them aren't even aware about what was done to create the clothing. If they are aware then animals around the world can be saved.
Next, I had to talk about my pitch to the class and connect it to sustainability. It wasn't difficult to find information, but the information that I did find was graphic and too harsh to show my audience. I had to create an idea for my audience without showing any blood or being to harsh. I thought I did a good job spreading awareness of the topic and helping people understand what is done to animals on a daily without being too graphic.
